The Emmaus Company
(Drama/Storytelling)
Contact: Sandi Marr
Members of this ministry team prepare skits, dramas, scripture, and other
materials for telling the Good News during the worship service. The group sets
its own meeting days/times based on scheduled presentations. Children, youth,
and adults are encouraged to participate.
If interested in
giving the Children’s Sermon, please contact Barbara Royle in the church office,

Intercessory Prayer
Contact: Coordinator Joy Dickerhoof
Following Jesus’ footsteps, we seek God’s presence and guidance in prayer. Your
participation is most welcome and vital! Come as you are and as often as you
can. We meet on Sundays at 8:30 a.m. in Sweet Chapel.
Our purpose is to raise our thanks to God in prayers
for our church, our pastors, our Christian Education program, and all
ministries. We believe and pray with the authority of the Scripture. We invite
the presence of the Holy Spirit to be with us.

Lighting
Contact: Bob Born or Ross Phillips
With our new lights, volunteers are needed to assist in operating the
lights for worship and special events. This
ministry team enhances those experiences through our newly constructed ability
to vary the lighting effect for each event and for separate activities in each
event.

Liturgical Dance
A
group is being formed that will lead our worship experience through liturgical
dance three-four times a year. Interested persons will work with this ministry’s
leader, Charissa Weber, in presenting dance in worship that supports that
Sunday’s theme. Persons interested in this ministry should contact Sandi
Marr or Barbara Royle at 303.238.2482.
Media/Digital
Worship
Contact: Mark Baxley
Team members assemble digital graphics, song lyrics, scripture, and other
elements for use in the worship service. They create a service schedule using
our Easy Worship software. This ministry operates the worship computer system
during rehearsals, final planning meetings, and worship. It is also responsible
for maintaining and recommending upgrades to the equipment as appropriate.

Worship Sound
Contact: Ross Phillips or Bob Borne
Help others hear and experience the Good News by joining the sound ministry
team. Learn to set up and operate the sound equipment in the Sanctuary and
Charter Hall. Training on operating the sound mixing board is provided. We
have specific needs for additional volunteers to help with the worship service
sound.
Additionally, we need volunteers to participate in the sound recording
project. These volunteers will operate the recording equipment, and produce and
label CDs of the worship services and other events. The CDs are available to
members and a copy is available in the Library.
Ushers
Be part of the welcome ministry at Shepherd of the Hills. This is a great way to
become acquainted with other members of the usher team as well as others in our
congregation as you welcome them into the worship service.
A six-month schedule of usher rotation is mailed to ministry team members. We’re
always looking for additional team members so no one individual is asked to
serve more that four or five times a year. You can serve on a regular rotation
or as a substitute.
