Adult Christian Education Sunday Morning Schedule
9
a.m. Education classes begin Sunday Morning Studies
God made known both Himself and His will as He spoke to the prophets and through them to the people of God. It is through their teaching that God brought the nation of Israel and individuals back to Himself. The words of the prophets were not written down just for Israel but for all those who choose to be counted among the people of God. Scripture speaks just as clearly today as it did in the past. You’re welcome to join this ongoing Bible study at any time as it travels through the Minor Prophets.
“Respectable Sins: Are There Any?” Have we become so preoccupied with the major sins of our society that we overlook our own more subtle sins? Perhaps we have developed a sliding scale of measurement. Sins listed at one end we are sure don't affect us. Those at the other end? Using an insightful book by best-selling author Jerry Bridges, the class will determine if, indeed, we do have a list of “acceptable” sins. Then we will explore how to draw on God's enabling power to confront and overcome our own list of sins.
