THE Annual Congregational Meeting will follow worship on Sunday, January 28, to approve the 2018 budget and pastors’ salaries.

The cost is $40. The arrangements are ordered by the church office.

SUNDAY MORNING PRAYER: Join us in prayer Sunday mornings in the Library at 8:30 a.m.
Weekly Prayer Gathering: Every Thursday at noon we gather to pray for our lives and our congregation. All are welcome to join us in the sanctuary for 30 minutes of prayer, discussion, and scripture reading. It will change your life; it will change our church!
Learn and Practice Centering Prayer in January: Pastor Dan will lead centering prayer practice and coaching each Wednesday in January. There will be two times during the day, at 7:30 a.m. and noon.
Also, Fr Richard Rohr of the Center for Action and Contemplation will be at the Arvada Center on Saturday, April 21. Go to contemplativeoutreach.org to register. Space is limited to 500 people and it will sell out fast. Cost is $110.
GRIEF GROUP meets on first Tuesdays from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Library. It’s open to anyone experiencing the grieving process. Registration and previous attendance is NOT required. The group is led by professional counselor Todd Kemp.
OVER 50? LEARNING CAN BE FUN! Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI for short) holds a wide variety of classes, once a week, for two hours, lasting one to eight weeks. No tests, No grades. Their two locations are 14350 W 32nd Ave, Golden, and Shepherd of the Hills. We’re Going to Houston! Save the Dates: March 26-30. Harvey was the costliest hurricane ever to hit the U.S. We all saw the devastation on TV, and now we’ve got an opportunity to help with the recovery. This will be an intergenerational trip – even kids can participate! Our Mission Committee doesn’t want cost to be an issue, so registration is free. Yep, FREE. We’ll even help out with some of the transportation costs! More details and registration to come! Stop by the table in the Narthex for more information. ABOUT THE OFFERTORY: This is My Father’s World is an early 20th century hymn inspired by Psalm 24:1—“The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it.” The final verse gives this assurance—”This is my Father’s world, O let me never forget that though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the ruler yet.”
In order for youth group to be a “sweet” time, we need help with snacks. Play a part in Shepherd’s youth and signup (by the coffee bar) to bring a snack. Feed bodies, feed souls.
KNECT is a group focused on creating, maintaining, and growing in our relationship with God in ways that impact and guide our daily lives. But, here’s the catch … we have a good time doing it! We meet weekly during the school year on Sunday nights from 5-7 p.m. in the Youth Room at Shepherd of the Hills. All youth in grades 7-12 are invited to attend.

WHAT IS STUDIO LOVE? It’s the Health and Fitness Ministry at Shepherd of the Hills. Studio Love offers a variety of classes that encourage you to love your body, love your self, and love your life because God loved you first!
