Facilities
We have welcomed new
members to the committee throughout the 2007 year. Many members were involved
with work performed in preparation for the sanctuary renovation including:
movement of pews (several times), cleaning out storage areas including the
furnace room and making minor repairs to building and furniture.
The committee overseas
and maintains the equipment necessary for the operation of the church, to insure
it functions properly and efficiently. We work closely with the church Business
Administrator in securing qualified contractors to make necessary repairs or
equipment replacement.
Landscape Care
There is both an ongoing and project-based need for those who would like to
assist with repairs and upgrades to our landscaping. Tasks include weeding and
mulching or perhaps a more challenging project. Projects can be defined in part
on the skills and time of those involved.
Special Building & Maintenance Projects
Special projects that could
enhance the use and appearance of the building are identified periodically. We
need volunteers to assist, usually on a one-time basis, to avoid paying someone
to do the work. This might include painting, refinishing, minor carpentry or
electrical work, and other similar needs.
Men’s Work Days
These work days are opportunities for men to fellowship together and
establish new friendships in Jesus Christ.
All levels of skill are welcome. Contact Ken Hawkins if you’d like to be part of
an upcoming workday.
