Meet The Interim Pastor – Rev. Dr Dan Dolquist
Rev. Dr. Dan Dolquist is an author, speaker, leadership developer, and loves cultivating community. Dan is an explorer at heart, having traveled to 35 different countries around the world. One of his passions in ministry is ministry to men, and he is active in wilderness men’s rites of passage that cultivate healing and wholeness. He is an avid fly fisherman and maker of handcrafted bamboo fly rods. Academically, Dan did his undergraduate work at the University of Washington, where he was a “special teamer” on the football team. His Master of Divinity is from Fuller Theological Seminary, his Master of Theology is from Princeton Theological Seminary, and he has done graduate work in Biblical Studies at the University of Edinburgh (New College). His doctorate is in leadership development from Fuller and he has also done doctoral work at the University of Kansas School of Education. His post-doctoral work was with Fr. Richard Rohr in the wisdom tradition of Christianity at the Center for Action and Contemplation in Albuquerque. He has been ordained for 26 years and most recently was the senior pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church in Highlands Ranch for ten years. In the mid 1980’s Dan was a professional golfer until he took a class and Fuller and met a girl from Kansas by the name of Sue. Sue works for a real estate start-up company in Westminster, and they have three kids and a dog named Calvin.
