Hello! My name Jill Schroeder-Dorn, and I serve as Minister of Music here at Shepherd of the Hills. I am a native of Oklahoma, but most of my family now lives in the Texas panhandle, which I consider my second home. I have lived in Colorado for 15 years, mainly pursing music degrees from Colorado Christian University, University of Denver, and University of Northern Colorado. My husband Mark and I have been married for four years. I have felt so welcome at Shepherd of the Hills and I’m excited to be a part of God’s work in this sincere and growing community.
- My husband and I love to explore Colorado in our free time. We like hiking, camping, and scheduling overnight trips to Colorado’s most interesting mountain towns.
- One thing I could live with more of is overseas travel. I have visited five of the seven continents, and have studied church music in DR Congo.
- The book of Philippians was instrumental in shaping my early Christian life. One of my favorite verses is Philippians 3:7-8. “But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ.”
