Hey! My name is Nathan Heimer and I am the Director of Youth Ministries here at Shepherd of the Hills. I am a Colorado Native who loves to ski. My wife Mindy and I spend as much time outdoors as we can. Our favorite activities include skiing, slacklining, four-wheeling, mountain biking, and playing with our two sons, Haven and Race, at the park. I have been at Shepherd of the Hills since October 2010. I attended Colorado Christian University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a major in Youth Ministry, a minor in Leadership, and an emphasis in Biblical Studies. I also love attending the National Youth Worker Convention whenever I can. There is much to be excited about here at Shepherd of the Hills but personally what excites me is our dedication to learning and becoming a missional church. We are a church that is striving to be both inwardly strong and outwardly focused. Shepherd of the Hills is a great place to be and I hope you, like me, can call Shepherd of the Hills home!
- In my free time you’ll often find me hanging out with my family and enjoying the many things Colorado has to offer. I also enjoy playing the guitar and playing most sports.
- One thing that I could live with more of is football. I love the Broncos and wish they played year round!
- One of my favorite scriptures is Jeremiah 29:11 “’For I know the plans I have for you’ declares the Lord. ‘Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.’”
