Over the past several weeks, many of you have gathered in living rooms, around tables, even at playgrounds, to listen and answer the question, “What pressures are you experiencing in this season of your life?” Story by story, a beautiful pattern has begun to emerge—threads of honesty, courage, longing, and faith weaving together in ways we couldn’t have planned. This Heart & Hope Sunday will be a special service where we begin to name and reflect on the common themes that have surfaced through your stories. You’ll hear voices from within our own congregation and get a glimpse of who we are becoming together. Come expectant. Come curious. Come ready to listen, reflect, and be part of something sacred unfolding among us.

This week we’re setting aside the sermon for something a little different—you bring the questions! During this interactive service, the congregation is invited to “Puzzle the Pastors” with your curiosity, your wonderings, and even your toughest questions. Together, we’ll explore faith in a spirit of openness, humility, and a little bit of fun. Ever wondered: Do pets go to heaven? What does the Bible really say about women speaking or leading in the church—and how should we understand those passages today? How should Christians approach other religions or people with different beliefs? Why do different Christian denominations interpret the Bible so differently? Where is the land of Nod? What is the blasphemy of the Spirit? Do we have guardian angels? No question is too simple or too complex—if you’ve thought about it, chances are someone else has too. Come ready to ask, listen, and grow as we journey together in faith.

In the garden, the risen Christ asks Mary a tender question: Who are you looking for? In her grief, she cannot yet recognize resurrection standing before her. On Easter morning, we discover that our seeking does not end at the tomb—God meets us with new life, calling us by name and inviting us to see again.

Jesus’ final question from the cross gives voice to every cry of abandonment and injustice. This is not a question to be answered, but one to be honored, held, and shared. On Good Friday, we seek solidarity—choosing to remain present in suffering and to trust that God is still at work, even in silence.

As Jesus enters Jerusalem, the road ahead narrows toward the cross. Amid the cheers and confusion, we are confronted with our own question: Where are you headed? This Sunday invites us to reflect on whether our seeking has changed our direction—and whether we are willing to follow Jesus when courage is required.

Standing in the valley of grief and loss, God asks Ezekiel—and us—a haunting question: Can these bones live? As Jesus weeps with those he loves and calls Lazarus from the tomb, we encounter a hope that does not deny death but dares to speak life anyway. This week we ask what it means to live authentically, trusting that God’s breath can reach even our most lifeless places.

When the disciples encounter a man born blind, they ask a question shaped by blame and fear: Who sinned? Jesus responds by reframing the conversation entirely, shifting attention from fault to healing, from judgment to grace. This week invites us to examine the questions we ask—and how better questions can create communities of belonging rather than exclusion.

At a well in the heat of the day, Jesus asks a question that opens the door to transformation: Will you give me a drink? In this exchange, both Jesus and the Samaritan woman reveal vulnerability, dignity, and truth. As we listen in, we consider what it means to seek relationships that move beyond assumptions toward mutual care and living water for all.

Nicodemus comes to Jesus under cover of night, carrying questions he cannot yet name out loud. Jesus meets him not with certainty, but with mystery—inviting him to begin again. This week we explore how faith sometimes calls us to leave what is familiar and trust that God is already ahead of us, making new beginnings possible.
