About the event

THE LOMAGUNDI CLINIC MISSION PARTNERSHIP

Founded in 2008 by members of the Denver Presbytery who had traveled to Zimbabwe and were motivated by the lack of healthcare resources available to the people of Zimbabwe, the Lomagundi Clinic Mission Partnership (LCMP) has been composed of delegates from Arvada (Community of Grace) Presbyterian Church, Genesis Presbyterian Church in Littleton, Wellshire Presbyterian Church in Denver, and Wheat Ridge Presbyterian Church and in the past, South Park Presbyterian Church in Fairplay, CO. The primary purposes of LCMP are to help provide monetary support to the clinic (LCMP routinely sends $1500/month that covers the cost of salaries for 7 staff members) and to offer prayers and encouragement as they persevere in very difficult circumstances. Many of the people in Zimbabwe have concluded that their government is unable to help them with many of their needs and that they will need to provide for those needs themselves or with help from non-governmental sources. They are working toward that.

MUSICAL PROGRAM 2024

Starting at about 5:00, the first part of the music program will consist of a collaboration of church choirs from the Denver area, named Zambuko Community Choir (ZCC), which will sing from the Justice Choir Songbook, full of beautiful songs relevant to helping fellow humans in need. The ZCC is co-directed by Jen Auld of Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church and Tony Domenick of Wheat Ridge Presbyterian Church.

After a short break for food, musician change and announcements, the second part of the music program will begin, and will feature Tony Domenick on piano and vocals. Tony is a teacher and singer/songwriter who will be performing original compositions.
