Dearest Shepherd family,

I am writing this letter to you to let you know I am retiring from the finance office as of May 15th, 2026. I was hired for a temporary finance office position in October of 2020 and was temporary until June of 2021 and worked all through COVID. Then I was hired as your finance manager in January of 2022 on a permanent basis. It has been an honor & privilege serving you in this position for the past six and a half years, but now I am ready to just become a congregation member again.

My life has been so packed with church, AA, Alanon and CCG, as well as other outside activities over the past few years, that I am ready for a nice break and a new adventure. I loved my job here at the church; it was an opportunity I never expected. Thanks to Matt, staff, session, and the other committee members who have given confidence and grace in doing my job serving the church. I am excited to see what my next adventures will look like.

Yours in Service,

Holly Meiklejohn

Friends in Christ, Holly has been an invaluable member of our staff here at Shepherd, a delight to work with, and really helped carry out our vision of reimagining our church in our partnerships with other groups in the community. We will miss her in this role dearly and will be glad to see her enjoy returning to being a church member and volunteer.

We invite you to attend worship this Sunday, May 17th as we celebrate Holly for her exemplary work as our Finance Manager, and also to welcome our new Finance Manager Lisa Diegel. Holly has been training Lisa to transition into the finance position this month.

Warmly,

Pastor Matt
