Fall Ministries Kick-off

While it doesn’t quite feel like fall yet, it’s definitely time to kick off our ministry this September! Some offerings will be familiar, others have been reworked a bit, and we have a couple of brand-new opportunities.

This Sunday, I hope you’ll join us for Front Porch Worship to hear all about what’s happening and the great opportunities we have for all ages.

You may think Faith Formation is just for kids and youth, but it isn’t! Our ministry includes all ages and stages, with a few age-specific offerings like Kids Connection and CLUB 3/4/5/6. But most of our Faith Formation ministries are for YOU, no matter your age or where you are on your faith journey.

Two new offerings are designed for the whole Family of God at Shepherd!

On October 4, we will celebrate World Communion with “First Sunday: All Together,” a worship experience for everyone. This family-friendly worship is designed for all ages and will include interactive litanies, prayer practices, storytelling, engagement with Scripture readings, music, singing, playing, and worshipping God—all together on the first Sunday of every month.

Later in November, we will host our first WorKship, a work project woven into worship. Together, we’ll explore the experience of homelessness while filling Blessing Bags as part of “Home Sweet Home.”

Don’t miss out! Keep watching for all the ministries available for you and yours to participate in.

Fall Blessings,

Sandy Safford

Faith Formation Coordinator
