Summer is in Full Swing

We are halfway through June, so it is time to think about July!  We have a lot of FUN planned for all ages as we look to the month ahead.  Kick things off with Worship on July 5th to celebrate our nation’s 250th Birthday and follow that up the next Saturday for our first ever Summer Community Carnival, July 11th 10am-noon outside on the field.  Fun for all ages, so bring the whole family and your friends and neighbors for some good old-fashioned fun.  Picture bean bag tosses, ball throws, duckie races, all those classics with prizes along with cotton candy and popcorn—all FREE!  Sign up to help set up or take down, host a booth for an hour and come for all the community fun.  On Sunday, July 12th, be a part of our first Intergenerational Event following worship in the Narthex, grab some fellowship treats and explore Creation with some hands-on activities for all ages. Now that you are in the spirit of July come be a part of the July Summer BBQ July 17th on the front porch, bring a side dish to share and join in.  We then wrap up July with our second annual Music Camp for kids Elementary-age kids K-5th grade, Monday, July 27-Thursday, July 30th 9am – noon.  No kids to register, volunteer to help or come on Thursday at 11:30am as the kids share all their music and singing in the sanctuary.  Don’t miss out on all the fun coming in July and be a part of the Shepherd Community playing, worshiping, fellowshipping, and growing together!
